Good morning Year 1, these are your activities for today

For English, we are going to be using the fantastic resources from the BBC Bitesize website. All you have to do is click this link and it will take you to their website. On here you will follow the step by step guide to the lesson. You will need your exercise book / paper and also make sure you watch the videos!

Attached on the website is a document that have sentences in and they focus on the ‘ir’ sound. Please read through the sentences and highlight any words that have these digraphs in. Once you have done this, please practise the spelling of the tricky words – write them each 5 times so it helps you to remember!

Attached you will find handwriting guidelines for your child to practise their best letter formation, using Langshott script. Continue to do the same as yesterday.

Use the identified words from yesterday and start practising these spellings! We have also uploading tips and tricks for how to help your children learn to spell words. Depending on how your child is finding these spellings, practise as many as they feel comfortable with. It’s best not to learn too many so we’d recommend 3 to 7 per week.

We hope you enjoyed the BBC Bitesize website for our maths learning yesterday. Please click on this link and it will take you to the website This activity is all about comparing numbers using the terms more than and less than. If the concept of understanding the symbols is tricky for your child, then you can use the terms more than and less than rather than the symbols. You will then need to watch the videos.

Today we are going to be looking at Judaism as a recap. We have looked at this in class before. Have a look through the BBC Bitesize website.
