Settling In Process
At Ladybirds we provide a graduated settling in process to ensure that each child and parent/carer has their own individual needs met. As part of this process we assign a key person to your child. The duties of the key person are to build a close relationship with the child, record development in the child's record file, take photographs and conduct observations, attend to the child's personal needs and work closely with the parent/carer as the child settles into Ladybirds.
More information and notification of the person assigned to your child will be available at the first session that your child attends at Ladybirds.
In some instances, we find that a child may bond more naturally with a member of staff other than their key person. On such occasions, we may change the child's key person to ensure that the child continues to feel safe and secure.
