Science at Langshott is very important and we are especially lucky to have such a wonderful outdoor area. Science is taught in depth in all year groups and incorporates both inside and outdoor learning.
In the Early Years the outdoor area is used continually and the children are able to investigate the outdoor in all weathers. The children have a garden where vegetables are grown and also a woodland area where they can play and explore.
In Year One the children also have access to the woodland and grass areas and learning is encouraged outdoors.
Years 2 and above all ensure outdoor learning and exploration is built into their topic and enhances the curriculum throughout the school year.
The school has a large resource bank for science learning and also has a pond for related activities. There is an active Eco committee and Eco club. As part of science the school also takes part in the Bike It scheme and Walk to School scheme.
