On the 30 October, primary, infant and junior school admissions opened for school places in 2024. Parents and carers will need to submit a school application if their child:

  • was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020
  • is leaving Year 2 of an infant school in July 2024

To help parents and carers with the process of choosing a school for their child, Surrey County Council has put together some guidance and top tips on researching schools and completing the admissions process, which can be found on the Surrey Matters website: Primary school admissions are now open.

Parents and carers can apply for their child's place on the Surrey County Council website: Apply for a place at a primary, infant or junior school.

Admissions close on the 15 January 2024.

Continuing Interest Form

Surrey County Council’s Continuing Interest form is for parents to request that their child stays on our school’s waiting list for 2023/24. Parents should not complete a new CMA form if all they want to do is to stay on a waiting list next year.   The Continuing Interest form will only be available from 1 July until 31 August. If parents have not submitted a Continuing Interest form by 31 August, they will need to make a new in-year application on the CMA form.  Please note that the Continuing Interest form is only for children who are already on a school’s waiting list managed by Surrey. If a child is not currently on the waiting list for a school and a parent wishes to apply, they will need to complete the in-year CMA form.

Please use this link as necessary Continuing Interest form. Also available on SCC’s Admission webpage.  There is more information available here.
